SOAP & GLORY COSMETICS COLLECTIVE REVIEW

While shopping in town the other day, I noticed Soap and Glory cosmetics were on 3 for 2 so I decided to pick up a few things to try out.
I've tried the Supercat liner before and I love it so muchThe eyeliner itself is not too thick, but not too thin either, it's great because you can make it really thick and dramatic, but because of the very fine tip, you can also make it super thin if you prefer. As with all pen eyeliners, it's very quick and easy to apply, perfect if you're an eyeliner newbie (or just like to be quick like me!). what I love the most though, is how black it is, some eyeliners don't go on as dark which I don't like but this really is a true black, so if you like your liquid liner to be really dark like me, this is for you!
The next thing I got and the thing I'm most excited about is the 'Lid Stuff' eyeshadow quad in 'What's Nude'. This is £10, which I think is quite good for four high quality eyeshadows. I got this in an attempt to lure myself away from the Naked Basics palette and it worked! This has one shimmery shade, Aubersheen, a neutral medium/ dark brown and three matte shades, Vanilla, a very pale cream colour, Pink T, a mid pink toned beige (great for all over the lid) and Mud Honey, a warm toned medium/ dark brown. I use the three matte shades for my everyday eye, with Pink T all over, Vanilla as a highlight and Mudhoney in the crease, I sometimes add a bit of Aubersheen to the outer corner for a bit of shimmer too. I cannot say enough good things about this, they are excellent quality, very true to colour and well pigmented, they blend super easily and seriously stay put. I wear these over MAC's Painterly paint pot and they stay on all day. I wore these for 15 hours yesterday and it still looked perfect in the evening. If you like matte or neutral shadow's I cannot recommend this enough.
And finally, as it was on 3 for 2, I needed to pick up one more thing, so for some bizarre reason, I decided I needed another lip balm (no more for a while now!). I chose the 'A Great Kisser' balm in Vanilla Bean, which I think is quite a new shade. Despite the fact I have a huge collection of lip balms already, I'm really glad I got this one. It's very soft and creamy, which I like as it makes it very easy to use. In the tin, it's a lovely shimmery pinky coral colour, it comes off quite sheer on the lips, with a hint of shimmery pink. This smells lovely, it's very sweet and smells like you guessed it - vanilla! It is very moisturising and makes my lips feel super soft and smooth. It stays on for quite a long time which is great the moisturising effects last a while too. I like to put a tiny bit of this under my lipsticks to stop my lips from drying out during the day. And of course, how could this be a Soap and Glory post without a bit of love for the packaging? This is easily the cutest lip balm I own, I love the vintage/ retro look and it's pink. What more could you want?

What do you think? Have you ever tried any Soap & Glory cosmetics and do you have any recommendations?

  16. I've been looking for the perfect pen liner for weeks and I very nearly ended up paying ridiculous MAC prices so you've definitely tempted me with this one!
