TOO FACED LIP INJECTION REVIEW

Hi loves! I hope you all had a lovely relaxing Easter weekend. I had a lovely time with my family, seeing my boyfriend's family and doing lots of shopping! Now, it's no secret that I love a good lip plumper. My own lips aren't too tiny, but I do like a nice plumped up look so I'm drawn to anything that claims to do so! I'd heard great things about Too Faced lip injection so when I spotted it for just £5.99 in TK Maxx, I had to have it. I love the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker, but this just felt little bit more luxurious and at a price like that I couldn't say no.

First things first, we all know I'm a sucker for packaging and the box this came in is just adorable. I love too faced packaging, it's so girly and pretty! The bottle itself is double ended and came with both the original lip injection, which is the pinky coloured one, which can be worn alone or under/ over lip colour and lip injection extreme, which is supposed to be applied at night time before bed as a hydrating and plumping treatment. I was quite excited to find that this was the doubled ended version as it meant I could try both the regular and 'extreme' version.

As you can see from the photos, both of the plumpers worked seriously well! The original was great and the effect lasted for a few hours before wearing off. The extreme version was a little more plumping, the effect also lasted a few hours, but with continued use, it is supposed to have long term effects. I've only had this about a week so can't say much on that yet - but it'd be fab if it was true! This is definitely not a gloss for those with sensitive lips as it's very tingley and sometimes stingy. It doesn't sting every time I apply it for some reason, but it does every now and again. It also makes my skin red if I get it around my lips at all, I learned this when Darren informed me I had a 'weird rash' by my lip the other night. I'd smudged it across my chin and the skin went all red! This isn't too much of a problem for me as I apply it very carefully now (lesson learnt), it wasn't sore at all and there was no lasting damage! It just didn't look so nice, but if you've used lip plumpers before with no problems, then definitely give this a go. Of course, if you've had issues with lip plumpers before - use with caution!

Overall, this is the best plumper I've ever tried by far, but it does have to be applied very carefully, so not great for applying on the bus without a mirror (I did this). However, if you're after a good plumper that works, and don't mind a careful application and very tingely lips - go for it!

What do you think? Have you tried this, or any other lip plumpers? What's the best one you've tried?

  12. Seen so many of these lip plumper, some say it hurts when they apply it. The packaging is cute! I think your lips look great before.

I wish I had your lips because I want thinner lips, even though everyone says they are jealous of my so called luscious full lips. Oh well! xx

  16. that looks really nice! I only use lip plumpers because I like the tingling feel on my lips, not so much to make them fuller looking (haha, kinda weird I know)

  22. Hi Chloe, thanks for your great review. I'm trying really hard to get my hands on one but I'm confused now as to which one i should get? There's a white an there's a pink? Which one is which? As in the original and the extreme? I'm thinking the original is the white one? But the white one says extreme on it too? Which one is best to get? I want my lips plumping after use and long term too, hope to hear back from you soon, thanks hun, Rach x

    1. The white is the extreme, the pink is the original :) In all honesty, there's not a huge difference between the two, but wearing them layed is amazing. I'd go for this double ended one if you can find it, if not I'd go for the extreme :) xx
