Hi lovelies! I hope you're all doing well! I'm definitely not feeling this crappy rainy weather, for one thing, it does nothing for my hair, and for another I was getting into this outdoor photo thing! Never mind though, you'll all have to put up with my bedroom wall instead. Anyway, today's post is something I haven't done before, it's all about some high end/ more expensive products that I will be repurchasing. So all the higher priced items that I felt were worth the money! I thought about doing another one of these posts with high end products that I won't be repurchasing so let me know if you'd like to see that. So, let's get into it!
The first of the products is a bit of a cheat as I didn't actually buy it myself, my very lovely boyfriend chose and bought it for me, but I'll definitely buy another one myself! It's a YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick, this one is in the shade Nude Beige, which I absolutely adore. It looks a little dull in the photo, but it's a gorgeous creamy light pink shade. I'd probably buy a different shade next time, just because I can't afford to buy lots of these and want to try more before buying this one again, but when this beauty runs out, it'll definitely find its way back into my makeup bag again. The formula of these lipsticks is an absolute dream, super creamy, smooth and moisturising, without being slippy and sliding off your lips. It pains me to pay this much for a lipstick, but the formula is so worth it! If you've got any colour recommendations for my next one, I'd love to know!
The next is another lip product, the Balance Me Rose Salve Lip Balm possibly not considered 'high end' as such, but £12 for a lip balm is high end enough for me! But again, this product has just been so amazing that I'd happily pay it again for this. Mind you, it's another cheat as I didn't actually buy this (again), I got it free with Glamour Magazine many a moon ago, but even so, I am in love. This lip balm is super healing and keeps my lips soft and moisturised, which is something, as my lips get chapped ridiculously easily. It feels lovely on the lips, I tend to pile it on as I use it before bed so it can feel a bit gooey, but if you go easy it's perfect, particularly for smoothing out dry lips before putting lippie on.
The next two products are my two all time favourite foundations, Clarins Everlasting and Estee Lauder Doublewear. These are both gorgeous, full coverage foundations without being too heavy. I find the Clarins one slightly lighter than Doublewear, and not quite so matte, making it a gorgeous summer foundation. However I still wear both all year round as I love them so much. Both foundations last for hours on my skin, I put them both to the test when I was doing two days in London for work and both lasted the full 12 hour day, impressive! They both need the tiniest amount for an amazing amount of coverage. My skin is fairly blemish free, bar the odd one or two every now and again, but I get red patches and blotchiness sometimes and these both cover that completely. If you like a full coverage, long lasting foundation I'd thoroughly recommend either of these.
Next up, is a St Tropez Facial Bronzer, another cheat product (doing well Chloe.) as I got this in the Selfridges Summer Beauty Box, but I'll 100% buy this again. I wear this under my makeup everyday to even out my face to the rest of my body (I'm cursed with face-paler-than-everything-else syndrome) and it works perfectly, it stays put all day without falling down my face like other tanners and only washes off with makeup remover. It doesn't clog my pores one bit and feels super light on my skin and dries really quickly too - perfect!
Last but definitely not least is the infamous Soleil Tan De Chanel. I almost definitely don't need to go on and on about this, but it's just the most gorgeous cream bronzer ever. I have to admit, I was a bit confused by this when I first started using it, but I use it now as a contour bronzer and it's absolutely perfect. I mentioned in a recent post that I've recently swapped this in favour of the Bourjois Chocolate bronzer, as I do find powders a little more user friendly, (particularly when you're in a rush in the mornings!) but when I want a really lovely flawless bronzed look, on a night out or special event, or even if I just have a bit more time in the morning, this is what I'll go for. It's totally worth the £31 price tag as it lasts so long! I have hit pan on this, but there's still so much left, so it's not actually too painful spending the money on it as it goes such a long way! It also lasts ages on the skin and while I've heard mixed reviews on the colour, it's perfect on my skin. Although I don't have the darkest skin and I'd say anyone that's got medium-dark skin, this probably won't show up too much on you, so look out for that.
So that's it! Let me know what you think of this kind of post, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Have you tried any of these products? What are your high end favourites?

I think with fake tanning they are something you really can't skimp on. It really shows when you do. St Tropez is excellent for not going orange!

ReplyDeleteYou should try Lancome foundation, I'm allergic to most make-up and found this is to be the best! It's so easy to put on and smells really nice too, deff a must try even if just ask for a tester! Might try the Estee Lauder though, seems really good.
