LUSH CATASTROPHE COSMETIC FRESH FACE MASK

Hey lovelies! You may have seen a few days ago that I posted a Lush haul and in it was my first ever Fresh Face Mask. I'd never tried one of these before but my sister had been telling me over and over that they're amazing and I had to try one. So, as my skin plays up in the Winter, getting dry patches and redness, I finally caved and got one. I went for Catastrophe Cosmetic because it's supposed to help skin that's going through a bit of a rough time. The Lush website says this, 'You know those times when you get one or two spots and it throws you into panic? Well, this mask is here to lend you a bit of perspective, to tell you to calm down, it’s not the end of the world and it’s nothing that can't be sorted. Basically, this is your best mate in a pot.' So, being the kind of person to freak out if I get the tiniest spot or patch or dry, red skin, I freak out. My skin's fairly good generally, so the tiniest little skin mishap and it's the end of the world.

So, when my skin was having a bit of a rough time, with redness and soreness due to the bitterly cold weather attacking my face, I decided this was the perfect time to try this mask. As soon as I put this mask on I knew it was doing lovely things to my skin, as the soreness was instantly calmed as it had a cooling sensation upon contact with the skin. The mask didn't really set on the skin like a clay mask does, which is great for skin that feels sore or dry, as it means you don't get that tight feeling you get from a clay mask. I left the mask on for around 15 minutes, then when I took it off, I was amazed! My skin felt super soft and and it wasn't even slightly sore any more. My skin tone was more even and the red patches had been dramatically reduced.

This mask is also deep cleansing, which is cool because it leaves your skin feeling really fresh and clean as well as soft and nourished. After rinsing the mask off, it felt like my skin had been washed and scrubbed as well as moisturised and hydrated. Honestly, I think this mask would be fab for any skin type, as it was fab on my dry patches and areas of sensitivity, but also almost instantly reduced a little spot I had too. While I haven't tried this on a breakout and I don't suffer with acne, I think it would be fab for those too, as it's very calming.

So, overall, I'd thoroughly recommend this mask to pretty much anyone that has the odd skin freakout that needs sorting out!
