BOMB COSMETICS CANDLES: REVIEW

Hi lovelies! Today I went shopping in the sales and while I had very little luck in the clothing department, I did find these little beauties hiding at the till point in Clinton Cards! They weren't marked as sale items, but I figured as they were Christmas scents they probably were and I was right! One thing I really didn't need after Christmas was more candles, but these babies were down from £7.99 to just £3.99 each, which is amazing for such gorgeous quality candles, so how could I possibly say no?

Bomb Cosmetics Candles are very similar to Lily Flame candles, all presented in gorgeous little tins, with cutesy packaging and pretty little coloured wax shapes (in this case cute little hearts) stuck into the candle itself. Despite it not actually being Christmas anymore, I thought these two were still appropriate as they're not obviously Christmassy looking and the scents are both pretty, sweet, girly scents, fab for all year round! Mistletoe Kiss is described on the Bomb Cosmetics site as "A luxurious oriental accord of patchouli, vanilla, warm spice and musk. A vibrant twist of mandarin, red berries and orange open the fragrance", I do smell the fruit and vanilla, but at the same time, this candle is quite a light, fresh scent, while still having a warm, homely smell - just gorgeous! Snowberry Cupcakes is described as "A sweet treat of festive berries, glazed in caramel and sugar for a sweet cupcake delight. With pure myrrh and ylang ylang essential oils", which I totally agree with! Again, its a warm scent and fills the entire room with it's gorgeous fragrance, but it's also super sweet, with fruity/ berry/ bakery scents all rolled into one beautiful, very girly candle.

If you can get to a Clintons any time soon, I'd definitely recommend keeping an eye out for these candles, particularly if you love sweet and girly scents. My Clintons also had other scents in Secret Santa and Chocolate Orange, but Bomb Cosmetics have a whole range of beautiful candles to choose from so it's definitely worth a peek!

What do you think? What's your favourite candle at the moment?

CHRISTMAS 2013: PRETTY PRESENTS

Hi lovelies! Today I thought I'd share with you all a few of the lovely things I got for Christmas this year. I got lots of lovely bits and bobs from my friends and family, but in this post I just wanted to share a few bits and pieces with you all instead of doing an entire 'what I got for Christmas' post, as I don't want to come across braggy (aaaand I've already used/ put away a lot of my presents and getting them all together to photograph seems too much like hard work!!). So, first up is this gorgeous Ted Baker purse, which was a gift from my lovely boyfriend Darren. I love the baby pink and white design, it's lined with the classic Ted Baker french bulldog lining too, this purse could literally not be more perfect for me!

This HP Laptop was my main gift from my parents (Santa) this year, which I actually got a little bit early, as my poor old Dell finally gave in and died forever. This one is just perfect though, windows 8 is a little difficult to get used to, but it's super fast and has a lot of storage, making it perfect for blogging!

This gorgeous perfume is the Juicy Couture 'Couture La La' perfume and it was a gift from my Grandparents. I love getting perfumes for Christmas and this one had been on my wishlist for quite a while. I love the scent of this one, its super girly and fresh and the bottle is just beautiful. It always helps when a bottle looks good on your shelf doesn't it?

Many of you will already know that Darren gave me an early Christmas present this year, which was the Yankee Candle 12 Christmas Sampler set. These scents are my absolute favourites from the set, 'Snowflake Cookie', 'Merry Marshmallow' and 'Christmas Cookie'. I'll definitely be picking up more of these in the sales as they're all so yummy smelling and it makes me sad that they're only around at Christmas time.

This stunning YSL gift set was a gift from my Grandparents and I looove it! I adore Touche Eclat, but my purse cries when I have to buy it myself, so it's such a fab thing to receive for a gift. This set also comes with a mini Mascara, which is really lovely. I'm not sure which mascara it is exactly, but I really love it, it's super black and clump free, which is great for those mornings when you don't have too much time to do your make up and it's pretty fool proof!

This lovely little Benefit kit was a gift from my sister Hannah, this is the 'Cabana Glama' kit, which I was suuuper excited about for two reasons, one, it's Benefit (duh) and two, it contains 'Hoola' Bronzer. I'd never tried 'Hoola' before and this is a perfect way to give it a go before taking the plunge and buying the full size. It also contains the 'Some Kinda Gorgeous' foundation in medium, which looks like a perfect summer shade/ fake tan shade for me, 'Posie Tint', which is an old favourite of mine and three beautiful eyeshadows. Why had I not tried Benefit shadows before? These are just perfection, I feel like I need more Benefit eyeshadows now, these are just so buttery soft and gorgeously pigmented, amazing, just amazing.

Darren got me lots of little makeup bits for Christmas this year, all chosen by himself believe it or not. So, with a little help from the Benebabes at our local boots, one of the things he got me was the 'Boi-ing' Concealer, which I'd tried before in a mini size and loved. He knew I'd used it before as it was in the 'How to look the best at everything' kit that he got me and he knew I loved that, so he asked the girl if he could have it in full size, so I was super proud of him for doing some detective work there!

Take a moment to absorb the cuteness. Done? This little lunch box tin was a little stocking filler from my parents and I just love it. Boo the dog is my hero and I'm in love with this.

Another gift from Darren is this super adorable little Me to You bear dressed as a snowman. It may be Christmassy but this gorgeous little guy is definitely staying on my bed all year round. I never grew out of the teddy bear phase and I love receiving them so much so this was really lovely of him.

A bit of a strange one to show you all, as this isn't really a 'big' present, but I wanted to share the awkard but funny story with you all. I don't know about anyone else, but every single year, my mum gets me and my sister underwear as a stocking filler - and every single year, we open them under the table/ behind our backs to avoid awardly flashing lacey knickers to our Grandparents! I do love these though, she chose some super cute ones this year, so awkwardness aside I was pleased with these!

I'm so grateful for everything I received this year, I loved absolutely everything that my friends and family had chosen for me. If by any chance you are a friend or family member reading this post and I didn't include your gift, it's probably because I've already opened it/ used it or put it away and it in no way means I didn't love your gift just as much as these ones!!

What do you think? What did you get for Christmas this year?

LUSH SANDY SANTA REVIEW

Hi lovelies! I feel like it's been ages since I've blogged, 5 days feels like a long time as so much has been going on! I hope you've all had an amazing Christmas, I know I did! It's strange when it's all over, as there's so much build up and then it's just finished. So, of course, to banish the post Christmas blues, some shopping in the sales is always on the agenda. So today, I'm going to be reviewing something that I think you should all add to your 'must buy in the sales' list.

The product in question is the gorgeous 'Sandy Santa' bar from Lush. Lush Christmas items are notorious for selling out almost instantly in the sales and this little cutie has already sold out online, but if you manage to track one down in a Lush store near you, it's definitely worth a go, as it's now half price and just £2.25. I actually picked this up right at the beginning of the Christmas period and am now on my second one as I love it so much!

Sandy Santa is a sugar scrub bar, with a 'built in' body lotion. You use it kind of like a bar of soap and rub it straight onto your skin, concentrating particularly on any rough patches. It feels quite abrasive on the skin and you can definitely feel it working, however due to the rich moisturising body butter in it, it leaves your skin seriously soft and smooth - so you won't feel like you've been in the ring with a scourer! I use this particularly on the backs of my arms, as I get those annoying little bumps and dry patches on the backs of my arms. This however does an incredible job of getting rid of those, it buffs away any dry skin and replaces lost moisture in the process - amazing!

As I said, this is sold out online, but if you do manage to find one in a Lush store, it's definitely worth picking up, particularly if your skin suffers during the winter.

CHRISTMAS IN LONDON*

Hi lovelies! Today, Darren and I decided to have a very festive Sunday, so we hopped on the train and spent the afternoon wandering around London! We visited the Coca Cola Truck in Covent Garden, which was just amazing, I don't think there's anything that feels more Christmassy than seeing it there in front of you! I could just hear 'holidays are coming' in my head the whole time! We also went to the UK's only Shake Shack, also in Covent Garden, as Darren had been banging on about going for ages. I must say though, I get the hype. I had a hot dog, which was nice, but their fries are just incredible, if you ever get the chance to go then definitely do! We also had a (not so) little browse around the shops in Oxford Street, which is one of my favourite places to go at Christmas, all the lights are just gorgeous!
I just love London all year round and if you happen to be reading this in the New Year and you're in the mood for a bit of London Culture, why not go for some shopping in Oxford Street, see a West End Show or even check out the English National Opera in London. I've actually always wanted to experience the Opera but never got the chance to go! Maybe check out Cosi Fan Tutte eno production, a show on this spring/ summer. The production is about two men that test their partners to see if they will be unfaithful given the chance, it was considered 'too naughty' back when it was brand new, so definitely not what you'd possibly expect from an Opera performance! I think maybe it's the wannabe Blair Waldorf in me that so desperately wants to go to the Opera and feel all cultured and classy!

What have you been up to lately?

#LDNXMASMEET

Hey lovelies! Last Saturday was an exciting one, as it was the day of the London Christmas Meetup/ #LDNXmasMeet. Myself, Ellie and Perdi (left - right in the photo above) organised a little Christmas Lunch in Piccadilly Circus in a Restaurant called The Piccadilly. Ellie found this Restaurant and she did a great job, it's a gorgeous little Italian restaurant down Great Windmill Street, just a short walk from Piccadilly Circus tube station.

So prior to the event, I met Perdi outside the restaurant about an hour early to start setting up - the waiter led to where we were seated and we had the whole upstairs to ourselves, which was fab! Although not so fab, as poor old Perdi was on crutches!! So, we started setting out goodie bags, getting prizes ready for throughout the lunch and putting posters around the room when Ellie turned up with yet more stuff for the goodie bags and more prizes! When everyone else had arrived, we ordered our food (which was amazing!) and just had a good old chat! Every blogger that attended received a goodie bag with goodies all donated from amazing brands including Pinky Vodka, Nourish Skincare, Elemis, Mandara Spa, Kiss Nails, Impress Nails and Chatty Feet. We also handed out prizes throughout the day to girls who tweeted using our hashtag, these included items from brands including Color WOW, Nails Inc, Catseye London, John Greed Jewellery, Scaredoo, Nourish Skincare and more. We were going to go onto Winter Wonderland or elsewhere in London afterwards, but we ended up staying in the Restaurant chatting away for so long that we didn't really have time in the end!  I will list as many of the bloggers that attended below, however if you were there and I've missed you off, please let me know in the comments as I'd hate to forget anyone - there are so many to remember!

Overall, I had a really fab day and I hope everyone that attended did too! I hope to organise another blogger meetup in the New Year, so if you'd like to attend, or be a part of the organising, definitely get in touch!
