2014 BLOGGING RESOLUTIONS

Hi lovelies! So, when it comes to New Years, I very rarely bother with New Years resolutions, because over the years I've found that life very rarely goes to plan and if I want to make a change, I do it there and then, instead of waiting until January 1st to do so. That said though, I do want to make a few blogging resolutions for 2014, as my blog has become such a huge part of my life, more so during 2013, which, as you may have seen in my last post, was my biggest year yet as a blogger. I attended several events, was nominated for a Cosmo Blog Award, had the chance to attend London Fashion Week as a VIP Luxe Ticket holder and with the help of two other lovely bloggers, Ellie and Perdi, organised my first ever blogger meetup! So, it's safe to say 2013 was an amazing year for Chloe's Way and I hope 2014 will be even better! So, ramble over, these are my blogging resolutions for 2014.

Blog at least 3 times per week.
I'd like to think I'm actually close to already doing this, but sometimes I let things get in the way and sometimes go a good few days without blogging. I hate not getting posts up as I love writing them so much and I know that I love going back to my favourite blogs and seeing that they have a new post up. I'm not sure if my blog is a 'favourite' of any of you guys, but I love blogs that regularly have new posts, so I feel it's only right for me to do the same!

Make more of an effort to attend blogger events.
I did attend lots of events in 2013, but I get invited to a lot of blogger events and the emails end up lost in my inbox and forgotten about and I've actually missed lots of amazing events and meetups because of this! So, in 2014, I want to attend as many events as possible - preferably on weekends please and thank you.

Organise another meetup and meet even more bloggers.
I had a fab time organising the #LDNXmasMeet with Ellie and Perdi and I'd absolutely love to hold another meetup in the near future. The single greatest thing about blogging in my opinion is the lovely bloggers I've met and now have the pleasure of calling my friends and I'd love nothing more than to meet many more and make even more gorgeous blogging buddies this year! I adore chatting to bloggers as I find we're generally very like minded with lots in common and I've made some amazing friends through my blog, so if you ever fancy a chat feel free to send me a tweet or drop me an email any time!

Do more outfit posts.
Chloe's Way used to be 100% outfit posts once upon a time, however lately I've been doing less and less. It's been a mix of excuses including the crappy weather meaning awful lighting, time and generally wearing boring clothes most days!! However, if I go on a night out or just like my outfit one day, I'm going to make a concious effort to start taking pictures again before I get drunk go out.

Comment on more blog posts and reply to my own comments.
I've already started to try to comment on more blog posts as I've been following lots more lately and absolutely love reading blogs. However, I often fall into the trap of reading the post and not leaving a comment, which is naughty. I think if you've read and enjoyed a blog post, it's important to leave a comment letting the blogger know your thoughts, because it lets them know you liked the post and you think they're doing a good job! I get some lovely comments on my posts and they really do make my day, so I really want to start doing the same for other bloggers.

Worry Less.
My biggest and stupidest excuse for sometimes not blogging quite so regularly, is I'm a worrier. I sometimes write a post, then decide it's not good enough, I didn't have 'enough' to say about a product, my hair didn't look good in some outfit photos, there was a shadow in the top left of a photo of a lipstick.. (the list goes on!!) then it gets lost in my drafts and forgotten forever. I've decided that this year, I'm going to just post when I want to and if one post isn't quite as good as the last, then so what? If I'm happy enough with it, then I'll post it and learn from any little mistakes instead of over-analysing them!

So that's it! My Blogging resolutions for 2014! Let me know if you've done a post like this as I love reading them.

What do you want to achieve in 2014?

  2. All fab resolutions, I need to start a blogging schedule. I blog nearly everyday but I know what you mean it is hard to find the time sometimes and things get in the way. If you haven't come over to say hello I'd love to welcome you to come and read glambeautys. I really want to do more outfit posts too but just need to sort out a nice space in my house and camera set up to do so. Hopefully in 2014 I will do more of these :)

    Happy new year!

  12. I didn't used to be very into resolutions but I have a lot of goals for 2014 and I figure one of the best motivators is sharing them with others! Like you I've done a post on my resolutions for the upcoming year. I'm sure if you put your mind to yours, you can accomplish them without a problem. Here's to a wonderful 2014!
