BENEFIT CABANA GLAMA: REVIEW

Hi lovelies! Today, I wanted to do a review of this gorgeous little gift set from Benefit, the 'Cabana Glama' set! You may have spotted this beauty in my recent what I got for Christmas post, as it was a present from my lovely sister! I adore Benefit products and I think these little box sets are perfect for testing a few products at a time before buying them full size, so I was super excited to receive this. 'Cabana Glama' contains a mini sized 'Some Kinda Gorgeous' foundation, 'Hoola' Bronzer, 'Posietint' lip and cheek tint and three beautiful eyeshadows. I spoke about this kit a little in my Christmas post, but as I've had more of a chance to test everything out, I wanted to review it in full as I've been seriously impressed by it!

The only product I'd actually tried before in the kit was Posietint, which I love. It's a pretty poppy pink lip and cheek tint. You need the tiniest amount of this to give your cheeks a pretty flush of colour and the tint seriously lasts all day. It's very easy to go overboard with this, so less is definitely more! Even though this is a little tube, it will definitely last quite a while. I'd never tried any of the other products in the kit before and the one I was most excited to try out was 'Hoola' as I'd heard so much about it and it's so raved about on the blogosphere! I can totally see why this beautiful bronzer is so hyped up, it's a very natural colour that can be used with a light hand for a more subtle look or built up to be darker. It's perfect for giving an all over sunkissed look, but also natural enough to be used as an amazing contour powder. The little brush that comes with it is absolutely useless as usual, but I use this with a sigma contour brush and it's perfect!

I'm really fussy with foundations, so I must admit, I was pretty sceptical about 'Some Kinda Gorgeous', being a compact foundation, I figured it was going to be really thick and creamy and give that awful cake face look. How wrong was I? This is in the shade medium, so for day to day it's too dark for me, but I decided to use this on NYE because I'd fake tanned and it was amazing. It looked flawless and stayed put all night, despite several cocktails! Finally, the last product in the kit was three beautiful eyeshadows. I'd never tried any Benefit eyeshadows before so I didn't really know what to expect, but these are seriously amazing. All of the shadows are super soft and pigmented and go on like an absolute dream. Despite being very soft shadows, I don't really get too much fallout with these, which is fab and the colours blend amazingly well. I definitely want to look into getting more Benefit eyeshadows because these definitely get two thumbs up from me.

What do you think of this little kit? Do you have a favourite Benefit product?
Let me know!

  5. I'm not really a bronzer kind of girl, so I'd probably get a different kit, but this one looks lovely.

  11. I would love to give this a go, however they never have a tone to match my skin. I am really particular when buying foundations, powders and other beauty products to match my skin tone

  12. Benefit sets are quite lovely and their packaging is always cute but I'm not sure if these products would go with my skintone that well. Hm...
