Hey lovelies! The shops are starting to fill up with teddies, heart shaped chocolates and red roses and love it or hate it, Valentines day is on it's way. I know some people write Valentines off as a day for couples in love to be all mushy and while that's true, I also think you can celebrate Valentines even if you're single. I know that back when I was single, I loved getting little cards or token gifts for my friends and family, I didn't even mind my mum getting me a heart shaped chocolate lollipop every year. Most other 14 year olds would have found that spectacularly uncool, but if it was an excuse to buy presents and celebrate for some reason, I was all for it. So, whether you're dropping hints to your boyfriend, buying a little gift for your best friend, showing your mum some love, or even treating yourself (you totally deserve it, you're fab), this gift guide is definitely for you!

I don't know about you guys, but Valentines day for Darren and I isn't all about big presents and expensive jewellery (not that I'd ever object to expensive jewellery), it's more about having a nice time and showing we care. Sometimes, going out for a meal or a few drinks and picking out a little token gift is just as lovely. I think smaller gifts can be the most thoughtful, because often if you're spending a little less money, a gift requires more thought. Does that make sense? For example, if you know someone that needs a bit of TLC and relaxation, what's more perfect than a candle and some bath goodies to help them seriously chill out! Maybe avoid telling them to chill out though, that one might not go down well. If your special someone is a bit of an old romantic (or likes teddies and alcohol.. ahem.), these heart shaped champagne glasses and cute me to you bear would make a lovely pressie. And if you're buying for a beauty obsessive lady (beauty blogger boyfriends, take note), this little Stila Love blush and Vera Wang Princess perfume - note the heart shaped bottle - are just perfect.

What do you think? Will you be treating someone special this Valentines day?
