SLEEK CC CREAM REVIEW*

Hi lovelies! Recently, I was given the opportunity to give Sleek Makeup's new CC Cream a go, so after giving it a try for a couple of weeks, I figured it was time to share my thoughts with all of you! To be completely honest, I wasn't sure what I'd think of this, as I've never gotten on very well with many BB creams in the past, but I'd never tried a CC cream before, so I decided to give it a try to see how it compared.

So, I decided to try this in the shade 'Light', which is the second lightest shade, they also do 'Fair', 'Medium' and 'Dark', which I think is great, as many BB creams and similar products have just one or two shades. This shade looked a little dark for me at a first glance, but then when I blended it in with my Real Techniques 'Expert Face Brush', it blended into my skin perfectly. This claims to 'boost radiance and mattify shine with this long lasting complexion corrector with colour adaptive technology', and for once, it is a product that does exactly what it says on the tin (or tube, but you get the point!).

Being thinner than a foundation, this blends out really easily, however it is thicker than similar products I've tried, making it manageable at the same time. It gives incredible coverage, which I didn't actually expect from a CC cream, so that was a very pleasant surprise! True to it's claims, it gives the skin a radiant, healthy look, but also mattifies too, so no shiny noses or foreheads over here! It lasts several hours without needing topping up or re-powdering too, which is fab, as I've always found similar products start to slide off after a couple of hours. This lasts from when I put it on at 6:30 in the morning until around 6 o clock at night, without needing a top up! I would say if you have particularly oily skin, you may need to top this up with powder during the day, but that's up to you. What's fab about it is that it doesn't really need a primer underneath to last a long time, a primer will make it more long lasting, but it also does amazingly well on it's own.

I don't have particularly spot prone or sensitive skin, but I have to say, I haven't had a single spot since using this and my complexion definitely seems more even without makeup recently. As this is the only thing I have really switched up in terms of skincare and base products, it's all I can put it down to.  Overall, I'd thoroughly recommend this if you fancy something a little less heavy than a foundation, but still with fab coverage and mattifying properties. Sleek, you did good!

P.S. My last post was a fitness post, which I'm hoping to do more of, I'd love if you'd head over here to take a peek and let me know what you think!

  8. I really love Sleek products and totally agree with your review of the CC cream. I have only just started using this product. I normally use the Sleek New Skin Revive liquid foundation in White Rose. I have also tried the Sleek BB cream in Fair. But I can honestly say I really prefer the CC cream the best (also in Fair). The CC cream provides more of a matte coverage and feels more like foundation, and as you say, doesn't need primer. I'm really pale with pink undertones, so Fair is perfect for me. Set with Sleek powder in White Rose, and I'm good to go all day long! Sleek face products are amazing, I think this is kind of an underrated brand.
