SUMMER SCENTS: VICTORTIA'S SECRET LOVE SPELL
Hello lovelies! In this post, I wanted to share my absolute favourite scent of the moment 'Love Spell' by Victoria's Secret. Can you tell how much I love it? In the last month or two, I've been collecting bits and bobs from the range and thought I'd do a little collective review for you all!
Love Spell is described as a 'flirty, floral fragrance'. "Hypnotize in Love Spell, a vibrant, irresistible blend of lush cherry blossom and juicy peach." It's a fairly simple, sweet fruity floral, very girly, flirty and feminine. The scent itself is fab for summer as it's so bright and fresh. I mostly notice the peach in this and with most of the products, the EDT and Body Spray in particular, what you spray is what you get, a bright fruity floral. Not too complex, but very pretty and perfect for summer days. As you can see, I have a fair few bits from the 'Love Spell' range, as I love to layer my scents (more on scent layering here!) to make them last longer. So, I thought I'd do a few mini reviews all in one post!
I have the Body Spray in three variations, regular, travel size and shimmering. I love body sprays in the summer, as they're much more cost effective than using your fave perfume day to day. If I'm just going shopping, or sun bathing (yes, I wear scent to do these things!) I'll use this and pop the travel size in my bag. However for a longer lasting scent, I love the EDT. While they are fairly cheap, they're very impressive quality and they're a fab size for travel if you don't want to pop one of your bigger 'fancy' bottles in your suitcase! The shimmering one is a bit of a gimmick I know, but paired with the Luminous Tinted Lotion, which in itself creates a beautiful, light wash away tan, it creates a gorgeous all over shimmer, perfect for a night out! The tinted lotion not only gives a lovely light tan, but also moisturises really well too.
Speaking of moisturising, I have honestly been so impressed with the body butter. I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked it up, as I do tend to get quite dry skin on my arms and legs, but this has worked perfectly. It sinks in really quickly and is super moisturising. To top up through the day, I carry a travel size of the body lotion around in my bag, this is great if you feel any parts getting dry during the day, particularly if you've been in the sun or if your hands are feeling a bit unloved! The other travel sized item I have is the shower gel, I don't have the full size of this yet, but I'll definitely be getting it. It lathers up really well and fills the whole bathroom with it's gorgeous scent.
So, I think I have enough of this range to last me a while!
