PRETTY WISHES

sunglasses - monsoon
sandals - miss selfridge
jeans - new look
bag - harrods
lipstick - selfridges

Hi lovelies! For me, this is a very exciting time of year, as tomorrow is my Boyfriend's Birthday and exactly a week later on 6th May, is mine. For us, birthdays mean shopping and lots of it! So, tomorrow we'll be heading off to Stratford Westfield to do some serious shopping. I'm loving these sunglasses, as I'm a bit rubbish for wearing sunglasses, so don't like to spend a lot of money on them. These are just £15 in Monsoon, so they'd be perfect. I shouldn't really be buying more shoes, but these beauties from Miss Selfridge may have to happen, how gorgeous are all the sparkles?!

Ripped jeans are so in at the moment and I'm loving the trend. I don't have a white pair yet and don't want to spend a fortune before I know that I like them, so these fairly cheap ones from New Look are fab. To match, I'm obsessed with the White Michael Kors Jet Set Saffiano Tote. I already have this in black and I think the white is just perfect for Summer, debating whether or not I can justify the splurge! Another, slightly less crazy splurge item is a Tom Ford lippie, I don't know exactly what one I'd want yet, but I've heard great things, so any recommendations would be much appreciated!

What's on your wishlist right now?

5 FUN WAYS TO KEEP FIT - ALTERNATIVE FITNESS IDEAS

Going to the gym is a great way to get fit, but everyone has those days where they simply need to mix up their exercise routine. If you're always following the same workout routine, it can become boring and you probably won't see the best results. Aside from investing in equipment for the house, there are plenty of other ways in which to shake things up, here are 5 fun and alternative ways to exercise.
Hula Hoop
Not just a child's toy, using a hula hoop is a great way to get in shape. Just 10 minutes a day can help sculpt your torso, burn calories and give you a flat stomach. The great thing about hula hooping is that you can do it anywhere, at home, in the park or at a fitness class. Hey, if it's good enough for Beyonce, then it's good enough for me!
Tip: try a weighted hula hoop for a better workout and faster results.
YouTube
As well as the perfect way to procrastinate – who hasn't watched endless make-up tutorials or taken a cat cuteness break?! – YouTube also offers a heap of exercise videos. There's everything from yoga and Pilates for beginners, to dance routines and mini trampoline workouts. Plus you can exercise at home and feel like you're getting a free one-on-one personal trainer session. Bravo YouTube!
Aerial Fitness
Forget pole dancing, aerial fitness has taken over. A relatively new exercise craze, these classes involve performing twists and turns in silks suspended from the ceiling. As a beginner, you'll learn how to climb, try a variety of poses and focus on balance. This is a glamorous way to have fun while burning calories, toning your body and improving your strength.
Rock Climbing
Forget scaling the side of a mountain, indoor rock climbing has become a popular sport – with good reason. Just 1 hour of climbing could burn a whopping 800 calories! It's also great for toning your arms and upper body. There are centres across the UK that offer taster sessions and equipment hire, so try it and see what you think!
Boot Camps
Summer is here, so rather than exercise inside, try an outdoor fitness boot camp. Don't worry, there won't be any scary drill sergeants shouting at you! Boot camps nowadays are friendly, welcoming and encourage team building. They also offer a range of exercises, such as running, squats, push ups and stair climbing. It may be hard at first, but endure it and your body will thank you in the long run.

5 NAIL TRENDS FOR SPRING/ SUMMER

While to anyone else your nails are a subtle detail, to us fashionistas it can make or break an

outfit. We’ve gathered the five best nail trends that we can’t wait to wear this spring and

summer.

Negative Space Manis

Negative space manis are all the rage. This is when you leave space on your nail so you can

see nail underneath. It sounds like it might be hard to pull off, but in fact it’s easy as pie – it’s

all about deciding on the design!  Whether you go for something classy, like a lattice effect in

off-white or a half moon mani, or something playful and fun in bright colours, you must have

a go.

Nudes

If you like to stick to the classics, then the nude nail is for you. Shades like dusky pink, taupe

and greys are sophisticated and understated. If you like the idea of a nude nail but it’s just

missing something for you, then you can upgrade it without losing the element of class. Add

a glitter polish on your ring finger, or an ombre effect in another shade.

Stripy Nails

Stripy nails are the epitome of fun. Choose two or three colours and some striping tape (and a

bit of practice) and you’re there. For summer, try stripes in blue for a nautical feel – you

could go in for a bit of playful nail art and add an anchor or a fish on one nail.

Go for one stripe in gold on white for a uber chic look.

Matte Nails

Matte texture is a trend that has slowly crept into the limelight, and it has lots of possibilities.

It looks rich, velvety and luxurious, whatever colour you choose. Pair a matte black with a

touch of silver for a cool, collected look, or match with a high shine gloss top coat, and create

designs on a matte base. Alternatively, create an ombre effect with another matte shade for

something really alluring.

Summery Colours

It wouldn’t be summer without a burst of colour, so I’m giving you permission to embrace all

the summer colours you can. Take a look at the Fun in the Sun collection from Attitude. All

the colours are inspired by summer, such as Summer Romance, Tranquil Waters and

Raspberry Sorbet. You’ll feel summery every time you catch a glimpse of your fingers – even

if the British summer doesn’t quite do what it’s supposed to (and it never does!)

SPRING SHOES WISHLIST

Hi lovelies! Is it just me that gets a huge shoe obsession when the nice weather rolls around? Though I say that while sitting in my dressing gown on a slightly miserable Sunday afternoon! Even so, the nicer weather is at least on it's way, so flip flops, sandals and wedges are taking over my wardrobe and I love it! The shoes above are a few pairs I've had my eye on lately and I have to say, I'm slightly obsessed. I love candy colours this time of year and sometimes I think shoes are a much easier way to tie these sorts of colours into your outfits, as they can instantly change the whole look of any outfit.

As you can see, I'm loving sandals, whether they're flat, high heels or wedges, all of these would just be perfect with my summer wardrobe. The yellow Carvela flat sandals are one of my favourites, I'm loving yellow right now and am currently decided whether or not I'm brave enough to rock it, definitely one for the fake tan! These, or the bright yellow chunky heels would look fab with an all white outfit and perhaps a yellow handbag if my budget will stretch to that this year!! Another stand out pair are the Rose gold heels from Office, these are just gorgeous. I pretty much exclusively wear rose gold jewellery, so these would definitely get a lot of wear. That's what I'm telling myself anyway.

What do you think? Which of these beauts is your favourite? Where have you been buying your summer shoes?

WAYS TO MAKE YOUR BEDROOM BETTER

5 Ways to Make Your Bedroom Better
Your bedroom is supposed to be a haven. The place where you recoup, recover and start the day afresh, whether that’s alone or with someone else. It should also be a place to express your style. So think about how hard it’s working for you, and take a look at these five ideas to make it better.
Get Rid of Your Bedside Table/s
It’s standard to have two bedside tables. They give your room symmetry and storage, etc. However, do you actually use them? Or are they just another place to harbour clutter and stuff you don’t need? Think about whether you would be better off with a small shelf or even just a wall mounted lamp. If you have them just for appearances sake, then you’re probably just making the room feel smaller.
Move Your Bed
How hard did you consider the placement of your bed in your bedroom? The ‘designy’ answer to where your bed should go is the opposite wall to the door. This is so that when you walk in, the bulkiest piece of furniture is visually the furthest away, expanding the space. However, moving your bed might not work for you, so you could consider getting a slighter smaller, or larger, bed to give yourself more placement options.
What’s The First Thing You See When You Wake Up?
This is something that almost no one considers, but it could make a difference to your day. The saying “got up on the wrong side of the bed” doesn’t count for nothing, you know. Lie down on your bed the way you normally sleep and look at what you can see. Is it laundry that needs doing? Or is it your favourite piece of art work? See what I mean? If you’re confronted with something good when you wake up, it could make your whole day better, let alone your bedroom.
Simplify the Space
Clear sleeping spaces mean clear sleep, so see if you can simplify your bedroom. Whether it’s getting rid of the laundry basket, or your bedside tables, as above, not only will the room feel less cluttered, it will be easier to clean, too. Move the things that you don’t actually need in your bedroom and you’ll find that your space is transformed.
Wardrobe Organisation
The wardrobe is a big part of your bedroom, so making sure that it is organised in a way that is working for you is really important. If you find yourself leaving clothes across your bedroom on a regular basis, then perhaps your wardrobe isn’t really doing the best it can. Take a long hard look at the way you’re organising your stuff and reconsider it so it works well for you.

5 TRENDS FOR SPRING SUMMER 2015

5 Trends for Spring Summer 2015
With some trends from past seasons returning for spring and summer, like rose gold, and others popping up fresh like gingham, there are lots to get stuck into and refresh your look for 2015. Take a look at the favourites for this year!
Gingham
Anything but cutesy, this spring and summer gingham is back in sheer fabrics and plunging necklines. Popularised back in the fifties and sixties when style icons like Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot wore gingham shorts and skirts, the preppy print made a comeback with darker colours and gorgeous silhouettes. Wear yours as co-ords or as a suit.
Yellow
It doesn’t matter whether you’re as pale as a ghost or have beautiful olive skin, you’re sure to find a yellow tone to suit you, whether it’s canary, saffron or mustard. There’s nothing more summery than a pop of sunshine yellow in your wardrobe. Wear with grey for a point of contrast or go all out in an outfit of entirely yellow.
Shoulders
This summer the part of your body that fashion has decreed is your best is your shoulders, so get them out! Perfect for date night, go for a smouldering Bardot off-the-shoulder number or a bold asymmetrical neckline. Wear your hair up with one-shoulder for maximum impact, or wavy for a casual cool look. Avoid wearing necklaces and instead go for delicate earrings to enhance your bare shoulders and neck.
Strappy Sandals
Strappy sandals are going nowhere for this spring and summer season. From white heels to relaxed beach sandals, there’s bound to be a style that you can make work for you. Make a real statement with kick-ass knee high gladiator sandals, or keep it classy and refined with a lattice work pump.
Rose Gold
Rose gold is having a moment right now, it’s everywhere. Whether it’s a pair of metallic pumps or in the detail of tote bag, there are a number of ways that you can update your wardrobe with a bit of rose gold. Rose gold watches, like ones from Market Cross Jewellers, are one of the easiest. Elegant, yet a bit different from traditional gold or silver, it really sets a girl apart from the rest. Wear with navy and white for a pop of colour and contrast.
Updating your wardrobe for spring summer 2015 is easy with these simple tips. Have you tried them yet?

PUPPY JEWELLERY

Hi lovelies! I have a bit of a different post for you all today as I wanted to show you something super adorable that I was sent recently! As many bloggers know, we often get things sent to to us to try out and as lovely as it is to receive clothes and beauty products for myself, nothing really excited me more than getting sent adorable items for my dog.

This time, Belle has a brand new piece of jewellery (a collar tag) to show you all! This is from a website called collarsandtags.co.uk, they do very inexpensive, adorable personalised pet tags for your little darlings! I chose the Deep Engraved Heart tag as these deep engraved pet tags should last a long time without fading. It feels like fab quality but isn't too heavy, which is great as Belle is only very teeny tiny!

Being a Chihuahua, Belle wears a harness for walks as collars can pull on their tiny necks too much when a lead is attached, but I do sometimes like her to wear a collar too, both for identity and adorableness! These tags can be attached to a harness hook too though, as I've shown in the picture above. I think tags like this are a great idea, as you can put your address or phone number on the other side, just for that bit of extra security, particularly if you let your dog off the lead on walks (which I don't, as Belle can't really be trusted!!).

What do you think? Do you think tagging your pets collars/ harnesses is important? Or do you just simply like the idea of a cute little accessory to add to their collar or harness?

BENEFIT WATTS UP HIGHLIGHTER REVIEW

Hi lovelies! I hope you're all doing well and have had a fab Easter! Darren and I went and did a massive fruit, veg and healthy foods shop, a long walk and gym workout today after a very indulgent Easter Sunday, so safe to say I'm loving having a chilled out evening blogging this evening! So, today I have a review for you all. Back to my usual today, it's a Benefit review! This time of year, as the weather starts changing, I want a pretty, glowy highlighted look, while my skin is still suffering from winter dullness, With this in mind I'm going to be talking about the fabulous Watt's Up Highlighter.

Like I said, lately I've been loving having a glowy look, but I sometimes find powder highlights to been quite strong and a little too shimmery, this however is much more subtle, but gives enough of a highlight to give a pretty, candlelit glow to your look. The stick formula makes it super easy to use, it goes on smoothly over foundation, or even over a face powder and doesn't move the makeup underneath at all. The one thing I would say if you were to buy this, is don't bother with the sponge at the other end. I honestly find this so pointless, as when I tried to use it to blend, it just seemed to remove it! This may just be me not using it properly but just throwing that out there!

I've been absolutely loving this for use on my cheekbones and particularly on my brow bone, it lifts my look just enough for the daytime without looking overdone. It lasts all day on top of my makeup, which is fab as I think a lot of highlights don't tend to stay put as much as this. I'd totally recommend this if you're after a nice subtle, long lasting highlight for daytime use then this is perfect.

What are your thoughts? Do you have a favourite highlighter? Let me know!
