REVIEW: FREEDOM AUDACIOUS MATTES PALETTE

Hi lovelies! Well, long time no see! To cut a long story short, I have no real excuse other than being super busy with Christmas, work and planning the wedding and because of that, my blog has been on the back burner a little! But I'm back and I really want to get back into at least semi regular blogging again! Today, I'm easing myself back in with a good old fashioned product review, as I haven't done one for some time and I've got a lot of things I want to share with you! We're starting off today
with this gorgeous palette from Freedom makeup, which is fast becoming one of my favourite budget beauty brands. If you're anything like me, you're probably fairly broke in January, but sometimes you still just really want to treat yourself! So brands like Freedom are just perfect for that! At just £4, this palette is an absolutely perfect addition to your everyday makeup bag and it's super easy on your bank account too!

A good set of mattes nudes are pretty much essential in every makeup addict's collection, but sometimes parting with your cash for higher end brands just isn't possible (particularly in January!). For me also, I don't always like to use my 'best' makeup every day, so when I found this, I thought it'd be perfect for doing my makeup for work during the week. However, lately, I've found myself reaching for this over several other high end palettes in my collection!

In this palette you get 12 completely matte nude shades in a mix of cool and warm tones. Despite being a very basic palette you can create so many different looks with it! The shades are all very pigmented, the picture below honestly doesn't do it justice as so many of them blend in with my skin tone! The texture isn't as soft as some eyeshadows that I own so they don't necessarily feel as luxurious as higher end brands when you're using them, but they go on smoothly, they blend perfectly and last amazingly well, so I'm not going to complain too much about that.

As they're so pigmented, you really don't need to use tonnes of product, so this palette will last you a seriously long time and at £4, you can't really ask for much more than that! I actually even use this palette on my brows some mornings when I'm doing my makeup particularly quickly and it works perfectly well. As the shades range from super light to a dark, almost black shade, you can go for a super natural look, a beautiful dark, matte smoky eye and everything in-between!

Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this palette, because why not?! The colours, the price and the pigmentation are all fab. It's amazing for those who just want to expand their collection, but I think it'd also be particularly good for those new to makeup as it's a super inexpensive way to add a lot of great matte shades to your collection.

What do you think? Do you have a favourite budget beauty brand?
